In North Carolina circa 2004, Daniel Taylor launched his first venture, Game Face Advertising by building websites, designing logos, while selling ad space for the college newspaper. What started as creative work quickly revealed a deeper truth: exceptional advertising requires exceptional research. And exceptional research is the precursor to exceptional marketing.
Driven by that insight, Daniel founded Shadow Boxer Marketing in 2008, while earning his graduate degree at the University of Texas, and also winning his second golden gloves. There, he sharpened his expertise in strategy, consumer behavior, and data driven decision making.
After graduation, he bet on himself. Daniel grew a diverse client base, guided brands to measurable success, while beginning his travels around the world studying culture. He began lecturing collegiate students in marketing, advertising, sales, branding, and public relations to invest time educating disciples to the ever changing marketing field. His dual lens as both practitioner and educator became a defining advantage.
When Covid reshaped the business and educational landscape, Daniel evolved once again. Today, he leads Rule, an exclusive business consulting firm focused on helping organizations operate smarter, communicate clearer, and grow faster.
